West Australian Octopus (species O-tetricus) is considered to be the best eating octopi in the world due to the abundance of its favourite food lobster, crab and scallop.

The rich, dense flesh has almost a lobster-like sweetness to it and the smooth, creamy texture is a result of the handling at harvest and the use of the slow freezing method.

Fremantle Octopus is available in frozen hands (either raw or steamed) and is ideally suitable to braising, char-grilling and slow roasting.

It is also flavoursome when eaten raw in carpaccio or sashimi.

Raw and steamed octopus hands (tentacles) are packaged in 1kg vacuum packs for your convenience and ease-of-preparation.

Freshly caught Fremantle Octopus is available all year round.

"I've been looking for a product like this for many years.

Octopus has been a by-product of other fishing industries for years and it is so satisfying to know that we are finally onto a winner.

Not only is Fremantle Octopus an amazing product but it is sustainable too."

"Fremantle Octopus is one of my most favourite products to use!

Its versatility really works with an ever-changing menu.

It's easy to store and defrost quickly if needed which makes it a great product to have when thinking up new menu ideas.

The cooked octopus hands are a revelation - no water loss when cooking, means shrinkage is almost nonexistent which appeals to me because less water loss means better returns.

I truly believe in Fremantle Octopus - and not just because I'm Greek!"
