West Australian Good Food Guide Director and State on a Plate host, Georgia Moore joins award-winning Chef, Ben Ing , in the kitchen as he re-creates a family loved recipe with one of WA's top producers, Fremantle Octopus

State on a Plate showcases Western Australia’s leading primary producers, telling their story and the hard work behind creating the state’s best produce, in addition to showcasing food events, farmers markets and anywhere food is celebrated and enjoyed in WA.

From producer to kitchen, some of our states most talented Chefs take this local produce and turn it into mouth-watering meals viewers can easily replicate at home. Supporting local is now more important than ever, so let’s create awareness of our primary producers and amazing food experiences and showcase Western Australia.

Ben Ing, the Canadian former head chef of Noma in Copenhagen – widely regarded as the world’s most influential restaurant – has moved to WA’s South West region with his partner, First Marchant former Noma gardener.

Noma’s loss is WA’s gain, and Ben showcases his talents here in preparing one of Western Australia’s premier producer in Fremantle Octopus, by recreating a traditional family dish Ben learnt growing up in Canada.
