WA Chinese Restaurant Association hosted the 2021 Chinese Food Master Competition at the Chung Wah Cultural Centre in Balcatta on Saturday 11th December.
Fremantle Octopus was invited by close friend and talented local Chef, Vincent Lim (Chef V) who was been invited by the WA Chinese Restaurant Association to showcase some of his favourite Western Australian producers, as well as being one of the judges for the two cooking competitions on the day.
Chef V has been a long supporter Fremantle Octopus and prepared and cooked a Fremantle Octopus taste-test for all 400 guests utilising our all new Marinated Octopus flavour ‘Lemon Zest’.
The two competitions consisted of one team event; Team Competition for Traditional Chinese Dishes.Competitors prepared and cooked Chinese regional authentic food live in front of the judges and the entire audience.
The second being The Top 10 Innovative WA Chinese Dishes. With competitors being required to prepare and cook their unique dish for judges and entire audience to try. Both the judges and the audience voted for their favourite dish, with the competitor with the highest numbers of votes being crowned the winner.
