Fremantle Octopus is an industry leader and valued stakeholder in the success and sustainability of the WA Octopus fishery, the largest one of only two Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) certified, sustainable Octopus fisheries in the world.
The Marine Stewardship Council’s (MSC) certified sustainable status for the WA Octopus fishery (established 2015), has been in place since 2019 and ensures Fremantle Octopus is sourced sustainably, protecting marine environments and populations for now and into the future.
MSC Certification is a respected, independent global fisheries standard awarded exclusively to fisheries that meet rigorous, science-based criteria for sustainable fishing practices.
Fremantle Octopus tentacles were proudly crowned the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) Best Sustainable Seafood Product Award in Australia for both 2024 & 2021.
